| Acrojou...
 |
Acrojou Circus Theatre work from a passion for circus art as a vivid medium of expression and tool for social communication.
Performing artistically and acrobatically on a range of objects and equipment.
|
Acrojou are now two of only six German Wheel artists performing in Britain, and are
currently performing a range of German wheel and acrobatic theatre acts, both in large-scale outdoor events and in theatre shows. Some their credits include performances at The Laban Centre, The Circus Space and a commission for the Lord Mayors Festival 2006 in Trafalgar Square. |

Dust. Two ancient beings slowly begin to move back to life, stretching and falling, catching and playing, they rediscover their forgotten selves. Two halves, or each complete but alone? Moving weightlessly through swirling dust and gently sparkling air, ‘Dust’ is a stunningly choreographed acrobatic exploration of the relationship between two forgotten people.
|
Urban Rotations . Originally commissioned for The Lord Mayor's Festival, 2006, and directed by John Paul Zaccarini.
The show is a blend of dance and beautifully stylized circus acrobatics.
Amidst the whirl of the everyday, two people collide in one of life’s chance meetings… Slowly the strangers’ trust grows, and the pace, and risk, of their dance quickens. Falling and catching, lifting and lifted, they manipulate the barriers of their separation.
A remarkable and highly unique celebration of chance relationships, expressed through acrobatics and dance.

Acrojou Circus Theatre defy gravity and conventions with The Wheel House, a charming piece of strolling theatre.
|
|
Blending acrobatics, audience interaction and a cylindrical home, the two endearing inhabitants expose their clanking and comically beautiful universe in this Petri dish of highly original theatre. |

This is a walkabout piece in a specially commissioned rolling set- a house built entirely within a wheel. It comes beautifully furnished, from the framed family photos to the inhabited fishbowl!
