Circo Rum Ba Ba...
Versatile all woman troupe presenting a huge repertoire of exquisitely costumed stilt walkabout characters acrobatic balance, fire and globe walking plus two large scale shows - 'Dress Circle' and 'The Whale'. |
Circo Rum Ba Ba are highly skilled performers whose attention to detail, comic characterisation and enormous costume stock mean they can adapt to most themes and perform at any festival or event. |
Stilt walkabout characters include Pillaging Vakyrie Vikings, Kitsch Sci-Fi Aliens, Pesky Four Legged Bugs, Gossiping Restoration Ladies, Scurvey Pirates, Big Bucks Gangster and Moll and a Mediaeval Tower with distressed damsel inside. |
The Whale is a 50ft true to life inflatable sperm whale, guarded by a noisy Fish Wife, who helps 25 children and adults inside its' belly. In the sea scape they find a lavishly decorated interior. They encounter a shipwrecked pirate and a treasure-hoarding mermaid and hear their extraordinary fishy tales. |
Dress Circle is a huge sumptuous dress on the move, worn by Grande Dame, whose skirts open to reveal a full theatre and an amazing variety of shows. |
Perching high on top of a tricycle vessel, a true to life octopus steers through the crowds peddling with her twisted tentacles. Above she is circled by a menacing Angler fish who swims in and out of the puffs of indigo ink that squirt from her side.
The octopus propels a rocky outcrop covered in bladder wrack and kelp from which emerge two mischievous deep sea fish who, balanced on the rock, perform a series of “aquabatic” contortions as the tricycle cruises the currents . |
