Lucy Francis was born and grew up in East Anglia, England.

She began her sporting career as a gymnast incorporating dance, sports acrobatics and tumbling, for which she was a National competitor.

Later she trained high board diving and parachuting whilst studying for a degree in Sport & Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan University. In 1998 she became the British Masters Diving Champion for both 1m & 3m springboard and silver medallist for platform.

From Leeds she moved to London to train Theatre Practice focusing on aerial circus skills, in preparation for the Millennium Dome Central Show 2000.

Since this aerial spectacular, she has been continually working in the performance industry.

Credits include: Numerous corporate events, swinging on trapeze in The Good Ship Manumission (Ibiza) and performing acrobatics, dance and acting in Smetana's Bartered Brideâ (Royal Opera House Nov 01), Bizet's Carmenâ (Royal Albert Hall Feb / March 02) and Puccini's La Rondineâ (Royal Opera House May 02).
