"My Tip for Future Street Stardom - A duo that display a gruesome sense of humour as they really do live up to their name." - Lyn Gardener, The Guardian
Random Acts of Jazz is part of a programme of work which creates musical happenings on the street that are invisible until - from nowhere - the music begins, turning ordinary situations into a fabulous old musical.
The performers perform their songs with anarchistic abandon and jazz juju. Their ordinary clothes transform into showbiz sculptures.
The backing tracks are old swing, jazz and show tune classics created by ToA

The accessibility of the state-of-the-art sound rig, cunningly disguised as a battered wheeled suitcase, means that Random Acts of Jazz can be committed almost anywhere – streets, shops, bars, busses, moving escalators.
This act is fantastic for impact, promotion, profile raising and creating happiness.
"As well as being fabulous, they had a major effect on our ability to get our message about the festival across to the public" - Peter Bolton, Norfolk and Norwich Festival |
"One of my highlights of new UK street work" - Bill Gee, BGA Productions |
This brilliant show combines elements of classic stupidity, physical theatre, musical puppets and of course lots of percussion! |
“Out of a four month season of street theatre, the Percussion Monkeez stood out above all others. We thought they would keep the kids happy, but the real delight was seeing grown men and women wiping the tears of laughter from their eyes. Top class clowning from two highly talented artists with a great sense of fun" - Will Chamberlain, Festival of Fools, Belfast Circus Centre

These visually stunning Fairtrade Banana People create a great deal of ridiculous impact by throwing shapes and flashing the Fairtrade Logo as they wander with their Mobile Banana Sound System!
Perfect for press calls and media hype!
Theatre of Adventure worked with Banana Link for over a year learning about development education and creating a Street Show to promote Fairtrade. The project included training volunteers and professional artists in performance skills, running workshops in schools, developing workshop material and the creation of costumes and a mobile PA. |

The Waste Warriors and Evolution Booth.
This show is a funny, engaging, highly interactive installation which looks at a very serious subject without preaching.
It is made almost entirely from recycled materials and was commissioned by the Norfolk Independent Waste Trust, |
Members of the public are invited, by the dashing Waste Warriors, to see inside the ‘Evolution Booth’ and witness the Future of Mankind. |
Around the Booth are several head and hand holes. At a given signal, 5 people recycle themselves by putting their heads and hands into the holes. |
A small group of people are also taken inside the Booth for a 5 minute tour of future Evolutions. |
Inside the recycled grown ups are transformed into small comical “Humanette” characters , each an evolutionary scenario connected with waste reduction illustrating how our unrelenting wastage is effecting our future! |
