MissingLinkProductions Newsletter Febuary 2002...
News
The year rushes on and we are nearly in February already. I hope
you are all enjoying a good start to 2002.
January has been an extraordinarily busy month for us. The calm
which is expected after Xmas and New Year simply does not seem to
have happened.
At The Circus Space cabaret as part of The London International
Mime Festival, I saw The
Gandini's new glow ball routine as their tribute to VIVA Aerial Danceldi.
Their talented juggling and graceful dance fusion was loved by the
audience. Kicking The Moon, a newly formed company of Circus Space
graduates who have recently been awarded by the Circus Space / Jerwood
Foundation performed excerpts from their forthcoming show. Ashley
Carr's clowning / acrobatic routine on a coat-rail particularly
stood out and was an absolute pleasure to watch.
Performers news this month, includes new stilt costumes from Curious
Company including footballers and the statue of liberty
as a stilt statue.
Heir of Insanity have
been training hard in America for their new show 'Atlantis' which
be premiering in the spring.
Our main news (the cause of this slightly early newsletter) is
that I am taking a few weeks off to get some sun in my ole bones.
I will continue to work (though on a somewhat tamer basis) whilst
I am in Australia and the office will be manned on a part time basis.
The best way to contact us will be via email, though phone messages
will be picked up. I will also have my mobile if you need to contact
me urgently, however I would prefer texts rather than calls due
to the time difference. I will return on 25th Feburary.
Web Site
New additions to the site this month have been Clive
Andrews with his clowning and comedy waiter routine.
Artemis
have some pictures of their great new Jack Frost stilt characters
(and it is still a bit nippy out there).
Three Monkey Productions's Spanish cabaret and street shows have new wording
on their page and Skinning The Cat have a new show for 2002 which
you can read about.
Quote of the Month
This month is a lovely poignant thought which I read at a friend's
house recently.
"Don't give up when you still have something to give".
Definitely one to be remembered.
Have a great February and I will be thinking of you all whilst
lying on a beach with my laptop.
Warmest Regards
Anna
