MissingLinkProductions Newsletter May 2001... News Well we still seem to be in Monsoon season and Spring had yet to arrive! As many of you know, the summer is being very slow. We have luckily managed to steer clear of all the foot and mouth fiasco until now; but unfortunately we have had a few big events cancelled / put on hold over April. My only hope is that councils and tourist boards will stage large "Get Back To The Countryside" festivals when this starts to subside. Good news this month is having Sam I Am in a showcase at The Cochrane Theatre. Shoo Shoo Baby, an Andrews sisters style act, needed some variety in the showcase they had arranged and fortunately for us, they ask us for some suggestions. Sam was a real hit and we gained a lot of publicity from the event.
Gig Of The Month Strawberry being run over by that phone on wheels for a spoof insurance advert on Rory Bremner's show.
Quote of the Month "Mummy, he's bigger than Jesus!" Little boy overheard whilst staring at a stilt-walking Curious Eyebrows member during a shop opening.
Web Site This Months movers and shakers are Lucy Francis who has been added to the site and Strawberry dropping The Clown from his name. Reasons for there being so few alterations to the web site this month is due to the scanner being sent to the doctors. We all wish him a speedy repair.
