MissingLinkProductions Newsletter June 2001...

News

Well Summer seems to have reached us at long last and foot and mouth finally seems to be on the retreat; and therefore the performing industry seems to be picking up again.

May was a busy month for us with the UK's two main show cases, X.trax in Manchester and Streets of Brighton. It was great to see so many of our performers out in force. I really enjoyed was getting to see the new characters and shows people were putting together, a truly fantastic way to spend a couple of sunny weekends.

We had an exhibition at The International Street Arts meeting (as part of Streets of Brighton) which went well. The whole event was thoroughly enjoyable.

We have also been doing some work with Winchester Hat fair which is a very exciting festival to be working with. The dates of the festival are 28th - 30th June, if you would like any further details of that please do let me know.

Other news is that we are looking to be working more closely with DF Inc in the future. MissingLink are looking to do more of their administration, leaving Dingle more time to perform with his fabulous clown car.

Quote of the Month

"He's not performing, he is just a busker"
Overheard elderly lady at Streets of Brighton and her brief synopsis of Street Theatre.

We have also added a Testimonials page with some quotes from people we have worked with over the last year, as well as a superb picture of Miss Behave sword swallowing in front of Mark Thomas and a policeman.

Enjoy the sunshine while it is with us and have a great June.

Warm Regards

Anna
