MissingLinkProductions Newsletter November 2001...

News

News Welcome to the MissingLink November newsletter.

Well the year rushes on and we are in November already, yet the sky is blue and I am still going out without a coat on. Britain never ceases to amaze me.

Last week I went to the awards ceremony at The Globe for The Bodyform Career Awards. I spent a lot of time trying not to giggle and I even made front page of my local paper.

Some of our performers made the press this month as the Ministry of Sound threatened The Miniscule of Sound for infringement of their logo. However The Ministry quickly back-tracked saying it had all been a mix up and they think The Miniscule are great. As The Miniscule quite rightly said "We are not big, we are not clever, and we are not The Ministry of Sound".

In addition to the Xmas performers we listed in last months newsletter, Dotcomedy have a new 'Santa in Space' puppet act, Curious Company have a stilt walking Ice Queen and her entourage and stilt walkers The Wrong Size have new Red Light costumes to compliament The White Light Ensemble. However Xmas is looming and dates are filling up fast, be sure your Xmas party is not left without the entertainment you deserve.

Woody Bop Muddy has asked me to plug his brand spanking new CD of mayhem. Please contact him via MissingLink if you are interested in this comedy legend's new material.

Final news is that CircusPerformers.com is starting to be picked up the search engines. We are already getting a larger number of hits from Google (which is considered to be one of the most comprehensive search engines) every day.

Web Site

The gorgeous Daniela Zocchi has been added to the web site this month. Daniela is considered to be one of Britain's finest contortionists and she has some fantastic pictures on her page.

Clatterratti now have new dancers to accompany the junk percussionists, and new pictures of them have just been added to the site.

The Wrong Size have some beautiful new pictures of their elegant Stalker Stilt Walkers and their Peculiar Pink People.

The stunning aerial grace of VIVA Aerial Dance have been added to the cabaret section.

Enquiry of the Month

Yet another enquiry for elephants this month. This time for a wedding. I was told that the local council had prohibited it, but if we kept it low key no one would notice. I decided to decline.

Gig of the Month

Heir of Insanity performed their stunning acrobalance act at a wedding reception in Leeds with the lowest ceiling restrictions on record (almost!). Both performers and couple had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. MissingLink assumes our piece of cake is lost in the post.

Quote of the Month

This months quote comes from one of my performers whilst I was ranting about the fact that my mobile was stolen whilst I was in hospital this month. He referred to me as "a cynic with a positive attitude", which made me smile (in a lop-sided kinda way obviously). I don't believe there are many of them left :o)

Enjoy your November.
