Welcome to the May Missing Link Newsletter.
We had a busy month
and managed to catch up with a lot of you at RSVP last month where we
managed to get lots of our lovely performers frolicking around the show.
Helping us draw considerable attention to our stand were caricature artist,

Abouts' glideabout angels; our glorious cover goats, the bouncing
stilt flirtabouts, Heir
of Insanity's Satyrs; and of course, mayhem of the show yet again,
the amazing new robot from the makers of Cyberstien,
Titan.
And
if you did not see enough of our performers there some of you may have
been lucky enough to catch Rubber
Riitchie on Trisha last month.
As if
you need telling,Thursday 27th April was National Circus Day! To celebrate
Paul O'Grady invited ping-pong maestro Rod
Laver,
corde lisse artiste Abigail Yates and chinese-pole star Dickon Savage
on to his ever ecclectic show. A good time was had by all. Mr O'Grady,
it turns out, is a bit of a closet fire-eater!
A huge congratulations to Teo Greenstreet and Ruth Nutter, founder CEO of the Circus Space and director of the fantastic Push festival on the birth of their daughter Rosa. Smiles and peaceful nights to both of you from all us down here.

Featured performer this month is the phenominally talented football juggler and basketball bouncer Tommy Baker.
Most of you may recognise Tommy from clips in some of the 'stomp' sounding Nike commercials a few years ago, as well as being a world record holder, he is an extremely nice man to work with.
Having watched people
on the juggling scene for (cough) a few years now, I would really rate
Tommy
as one of the most original and highly skilled juggler we have in the
UK, if not in Europe. Available for walkabout, stage shows and especially
great for half time entertainment or sports themed events, our hot tip
this month is definitely for Tommy
Baker.

In order to gain mentions in the newsletter, performers are requested
to keep me up to date with their latest news, reviews, acts, antics,
costumes, ideas, appearances, pictures, plans and gossip. Especially
the gossip. It does not all go in I promise. But I do like to be kept
up to date. Send us pictures, you get publicity in the newsletter -
it really is that simple. Any information you would like to share with
other performers may also be included, though we try not to publicise
up coming gigs for obvious reasons. Most of the content of this newsletter
is based on things that I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears,
other bits are simply rumours provided by performers themselves. I can
take no credit for such things. Though I do sometimes try to verify
them if I get the chance. Though every parent tries not to have favourites,
performers working for us at trade shows do get in our good books, and
those who are willing to help us raise money for charity get extra brownie
points. Play with the caption competition - you might just get a plug
if you are funny enough. Special cakes are reserved for performers who
write down their reference numbers. Look at you datesheet, see how things
work our end. Pencils mean we are putting you up for gigs. If the client
does not go for it we cannot be held responsible, the end decision is
rarely ours to make. Growling really does you no favours. We have a
new system in place where you can check up on the progress of things.
Ask us about it. And fill out your forms - it will free up time all
round and give us more time to get you more lovely gigs. Updates to
the website are made during weekends only - the slower they happen the
healthier an agent I am... Please bear with me; it is just the way the
systems work. A huge thank you to Sire Chesser, without whom my syntax
would be a lot more painful on the eye. And for teaching me how to phrase
things more politely. Missing Link Productions ltd has this month has
been run nearly solely by Helena, the woman who knows, and the woman
who gets stuff done, John from the Stretch People, who leaves for his
real job for the summer, Philip, our winner of battles, diplomat
and the man in the world I most admire, Steph, our lovely rusty coloured
barnet lady, with her joyously excessive singing, Thom, in his new role
as Mr Contracts.
