Gig of the Month |
||||||||||
| The gig of July definitely has to be WOMAD festival last weekend. The cabaret tent hosted the jovial disk jockey with the gramophone Mr Dennis Teeth (also spotted playing his saw and ukulele), the hostess with the mostest (and soon to be on the site) Lady Margo, the acrobatic playfulness of Mimbre, the ever cheeky and hilariously funny Stickleback Plasticus (with added mooncups). Thanks to all who worked so hard on the show, the organisers for being an utter joy to work with and all those of you who saw the shows and made such warm audiences. |

of the Month "Oh you work
in the circus do you?" Said Charles to I "You don't work with
those dreadful people who tumble down the ribbons do you?" |

In order to gain mentions
in the newsletter, performers are requested to keep me up to date with
their latest news, reviews, acts, antics, costumes, ideas, appearances,
pictures, plans and gossip. Any information you would like to share with
other performers may also be included, thought we try not to publicise
up coming gigs for obvious reasons. Most of the content of this newsletter
is based on things that I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears,
other bits are simply rumours provided by performers themselves. I can
take no credit for such things. Though I do sometimes try to verify them
if I get the chance. Though every parent tries not to have favourites,
performers working for us at trade shows do get in our good books, and
those who are willing to help us raise money for charity get extra brownie
points. At the end of the day we do take pride in being ethical kids.
Updates to the website are made during evening and weekends - the slower
they happen the healthier an agent I am in the mornings... Please bear with us; it is just the way the systems work. Just imagine me like a stroppy teenager, the more I get hassled, the slower it takes. A huge thank you to Thom Chesser, without whom my syntax would be a lot more painful on the eye, I would be a lot more grumpy and no one would notice my new hairdo's. Missing Link Productions ltd has this month has been featuring the tartan lady herself Helena Richardson (Dainty in the Clown on the website for those of you who want a peek) John from the Stretch People, who, quite frankly, is one of the nicest chaps I have ever met, and the ever-so helpful and ultra diplomatic Philip with his new Missing Link hat on. And for those of you who get this far in the small print, yes, he is my dad. And I am proud. |
