Zhu Hui Ling left home at the age of 10 to live with the Zhengzhou Acrobatic School in Henan Province in central China. Her specialist skill is Foot-Juggling. For over 20 years she did international tours with Zhengzhou Acrobatic Troupe; Beijing Acrobats & other Chinese Circuses. Based in the UK for the past 10 years, Ling & her Troupe have traveled extensively in the UK; Europe & The Middle East in their work.
Ling Chinese Entertainments is her UK - based Troupe of traditional, Chinese entertainers. They did the red carpet for the Leicester Square UK premiere of the new blockbuster film Kung Fu Panda. Members of the Troupe have featured doing lion dance on the CBeebies show Tikkabilla and Ling has been on the same show performing foot-juggling and also in The Slammer; she also appeared in the Martin Scorsese film Gangs of New York. For 3 consecutive years they have provided the Chinese entertainment at the Official Chinese New Year Reception at the Foreign Office. She has performed several times for repeat bookings in Variety Theatre in The Good Old Days and in Germany at GOP Variety Theatres. Of course 2008 was the Year of the Beijing Olympics and they were at the forefront of many of the linked events held in the UK including the Olympic Torch Relay and Flag handover ceremonies etc.
Much of Ling's work is associated with Cultural Diversity & Social Cohesion programmes with young people. She has a wealth of experience working in Schools and interacting with children.
She played a major role in the Jiangsu Festival 2008 - 2009 in her home county of Essex leading a Chinese group at each of the 3 China Towns events and running Chinese Experience for the Whole Family events in Essex Libraries.
